Rain rail drain screens prevent the accumulation of large debris, such as leaves and twigs, from clogging the rain rail drains. These are particularly useful if you park your car outside where leaves may fall on it. It is much easier to collect debris or vacuum it out rather than deal with plugged rain rail tubes.
This rain rail screen goes behind the seats, next to the seat belt support, and simply snaps into place. They can be a bit tricky to get to, and are sometimes hidden underneath a flap of carpet.
These drain screens are designed to fit both the NA and NB models of Miata. Each purchase comes with two parts, one for each side of the vehicle.

They stick up more than you’d think but they work wonders and getting debris from getting into your drain line. Very good product but first clear your drains then install.

The product is very cool and well made, however it is not meant for NB Miatas despite the description. The seller was very accommodating but the product description should reflect its compatibility.

In the most sad of sad turns of events I immediately dropped one of these behind the seatbelt mechanism. I was extra careful and was able to not lose the other one, so I have the driver's side taken care of! Great item, a perfect fit, just beware of dropping them into an abyss.

Very good idea, I’ve had stuff clogged in my drains before this will definitely make sure it won’t happen again. Definitely recommend buying, only thing to be aware of it’s very difficult to install at least for me just because the drain it self is pretty far down and difficult to reach.
